If you work for an estate agency, we may hold your name, job title or seniority, business email address, business telephone number, and your agency’s name, address and number of branches.
Where we got it
Business-to-Business (B2B) contact data may be obtained from carefully selected business data providers and publicly available sources. Information regarding our principal business data supplier, Business Data Prospects, is available at www.businessdataprospects.com.
Why we use it
We use your details to contact you in your professional capacity about our anti-money laundering (AML) compliance services, which help estate agents meet their obligations under the Money Laundering Regulations 2017. We rely on our legitimate interests in marketing our services to businesses. We only contact limited companies and LLPs, and each person receives a limited number of emails.
Who we share it with
We use Zoho Campaigns to send our emails. Zoho acts on our behalf and stores the data in the EU, which the UK recognises as providing adequate protection.
How long we keep it
We keep supplier data for up to 12 months. If you ask us not to contact you, we keep your email address on a suppression list so that we don’t contact you again. If you get in touch with us or book a call, we keep your details in our customer system for 2 years after our last contact, unless you become a customer.
You can object to our marketing at any time, and we will stop straight away. Use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or email contactus@smartcompliance.co.uk.
You can also ask to access, correct or delete your information, or to restrict how we use it, by emailing contactus@smartcompliance.co.uk. If you’d like Business Data Prospects to stop using your details, you can contact them directly via their website. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
